  Have you ever thought about how as time goes by this world appears to be getting darker and darker? Think about it… this world is going from bad to worse. In today's headlines kids as young as six years old are killing kids. Now it's common practice to see kids walking through metal detectors at school. Today, thousands of unborn babies were killed because they were an inconvenience to their parents. Men, women and teenagers are engaging in all sorts of immorality. Kids are having kids and where is the church of Christ in all this?

We wonder what is wrong with this world and why it is so dark. We blame the darkness for being so dark; yet the problem is not with the darkness! The darkness is doing what it is supposed to do…it's dark! The question is, where is the light?

It is the lack of light that makes this world so dark. Each time this world becomes darker and darker it is because there is one less light in the world. The problem is not with the world; the problem is the church! The Lord called us to light up this world, yet it seems that so many Christians have made themselves comfortable in the darkness.

How are you representing Jesus? …Are you representing Jesus? It is not enough to simply say we are Christian we have to live it. Our friends don't just need to hear it they need to see it.

So many times Christians debate the Bible with non Christians and it's all good, but my question is, do they see it in you? Do you show them that you believe what you say? Or do they see you as a hypocrite? What you show to them, is what they think of Jesus.

We have to stop worrying about looking good before our friends because while we are so busy trying to look good to our friends their whole life could be crumbling down. Your friend doesn't need someone to be and act like him. Your friend could be crying out for help. Your friend needs someone to show him the love of Jesus. Dare to be different. Dare to be a light.
